Ordinary Citizens Reclaiming America's Founding Principles

Dr. King Day, Mahatma Gandhi, Peaceful Demonstration and March and Social Change Happens

Today we remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. The way to social change is often by peaceful means rather than taking out your opponents. Dialogue. Compromise. I could write more about the guns and how they were used to kill Kennedys and the dreams of people including Dr. King, but I won't today. Remember him and think and do community service. That's the message we are trying to pass on to the next generation.

As to my intent, just read the point about community service, which Sikhs do so well in the Y-S area. Any leader who was for that, Gandhi, King, Chavez, etc are examples to follow

CW - I cannot say I am for prayers in public school, because that would be against decisions by the courts. As to Punjabi schools, I don't know because I never went to school there.

If your intent is to inform the next generation then putting God back into school (as they do in the Punjab) would be a good first step.
